Why?

Why is Wordpress so hard to administrate? It’s a blogging platform. Don’t want to shatter anyones reality but its not really a CMS. It’s a blogging platform. This stuff should be easy.

Why on earth is it so damn fickle?

For instance, last night I wanted to use a new theme. Simple, easy task. Enabled it, BAM. White screen of death. A plugin was incompatible with the theme. I’ll say that again. A theme would not work because of a plugin, and instead, I am left crippled with a WSOD. That is just inherently wrong. A theme should be nothing more than html/css/js markup using functions defined within Wordpress, the same way that Drupal and others work.

Well I disable the plugin (used my best guess as to which one it was) and the theme worked. First thing I noticed was it didn’t look as great as it did on the site I got it from. Revert. Back to this one. Annoying.

I am moving all of this to Drupal this year. F it.

Times Change

24 is cancelled!
I’ll be an uncle in a couple of weeks.
Deftones and Stone Temple Pilots are releasing new albums.
I’ve been listening to CKY for 10 years now, and been to over 40 shows.
I’m not into bars much anymore. (believe it)
I’ll be 28 this year. Wow.
I socialized with a lot of people at Ignite and had fun entertaining them.

Drupal will (and has been) kick everyone elses ass this year.

Yet, people feel the utter need to talk shit on us at every opportunity. Good sales tactic, u pro dude? What better way to hide your inadequacies than by talking about why someone else sucks. You should try selling used cars next, it will come natural. I guess if it makes you feel better by deluding yourself into unreality, so be it. Honestly, it’s pretty damn hilarious.

We’re college educated, respected, and above it.

Let the bottom feeders bottom feed as they acquire false senses of entitlement and accomplishment while possessing neither the knowledge (college education or otherwise) or know-how of doing a quality job. Those who get ahead by stepping on other peoples necks will get whats coming to them. Snakes associate with snakes and eventually they will turn on each other when there are no more mice to feed on.

Oh, if every other tweet is a Foursquare update, I am deleting you. Pointless fucking information. Thank you.

I’m at my desk. (see, who cares?)
